History

Turning Point began in 1993 with the intent to help Youth for Christ Winnipeg offer practical hope and help to youth in their programs. Many of these youth came from troubled home situations and YFC wanted to be able to offer professional counselling as the need arose.

Requests for support and help soon led us to open our doors to families outside of YFC’s existing programming.  We have seen continued growth since its inception, including the addition of counsellors and services.

In 2011, Turning Point moved from the former YFC Winnipeg location on Talbot Avenue to the YFC Activity Centre located at 333 King Street.
